Minecraft coming to the Wii U

 

Mojang on Monday announced that Minecraft finally is headed for the Wii U, with touchdown scheduled for Dec. 17.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition will be released for $29.99 via the Wii U’s digital store.

 

According to Mojang, the Minecraft: Wii U Edition will come equipped with six popular bundles including a “Festive mash up” to get you hyped up for the coming holiday season. There is also an additional 16 DLC packs, mostly branded content like Doctor Who and StarWars, which will be available for sale as in-app purchases, but these are completely optional. Video Gamer reported that Nintendo and Mojang are collaborating to add more content to the video game sometime in the future.

Minecraft Pocket Edition’ Beta v.0.13.0 now available

Minecraft: Pocket Edition beta v.0.13.0 for Android devices everywhere, but it’s no ordinary beta, as it includes the feature everybody’s been waiting for: Redstone Circuits. A redstone circuit is a structure that can be built to activate or control mechanisms.

You’ll need three things to join the test:

• An Android device that can run Minecraft Pocket Edition.
• Minecraft: Pocket Edition Android purchased from Google Play Store.
• To opt in to the Minecraft Pocket Edition Beta.

New Features

• Redstone Circuits: Redstone Wire, Torch, Lamp, Levers, Buttons, Pressure plates, Tripwires, Trapped Chests and Detector Rails!
• Cute fluffy crop-eating bunnies!
• New wooden doors!

 

I have also noticed that animals don;t die on carpets anymore. It seemed that versions 0.12.0 upwards to 0.13.0 all killed animals that were on carpet, but seems to be fixed in this new release.
